How it works
Four steps from a file you already have to a chapter you actually finish.
Drop in a file
PDF, EPUB, DOCX or plain text. Or grab a free classic from the starter shelf.
Press play
Your text becomes short captions that glow word by word, with a beat at every comma and full stop.
Make it yours
Set the pace, pick a sound, save it as a reading profile. Night owl, commute, whatever fits.
Finish it, share it
Hit the last page, get a Finished! card, and share a short clip of your favourite line.
Made for actually finishing things
Glow Line
Phrase captions of a few words, lit up one word at a time. It feels like a feed, not a document.
Your files
Bring your own PDFs, EPUBs, DOCX and text. Scan a page of a paperback, too.
Starter shelf
Free public-domain classics, each with a one-minute recap and key-idea cards.
Sound modes
Quiet, a voice, or focus sounds like brown noise and ambient, all generated on your phone.
Reading profiles
Save your favourite setup and share it with a link.
Streaks and Finished! cards
A small daily goal, and a card to share when you reach the last page.
Your files stay on your phone
Readcrush runs on your device. No account, no ads, no tracking. Reading, voices and sounds all happen on your phone.

Is Readcrush a speed trainer?
No. It is made for reading comfortably and actually finishing things. You set the pace, and the captions take a beat at every comma and full stop. It does not promise to make you quicker.
Which files work?
PDF, EPUB, DOCX and plain text, plus text you paste or share from Safari. Files with copy protection cannot be opened.
Can it read to me?
Yes. Turn on a voice and the glow follows the words as they are spoken. It uses the voices already on your iPhone, and you can add a soft background sound.
Is it free?
Free to start, with no account. Readcrush Plus adds extras such as unlimited files, more sounds and share cards without the watermark.
Where do my files go?
Nowhere. Everything runs on your phone, and there are no ads or trackers.
Does it work in Polish?
Yes. The app and the starter shelf come in English and Polish.
Swap the scroll for a chapter.
Your next finished book starts with a file you already have.
